Taxon description
Gatunek znany z nielicznych stanowisk we wschodniej części Europy Środkowej, południowych obszarów europejskiej części byłego ZSRR, Azji Mniejszej, Mongolii oraz z Syberii. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w ośmiu krainach. Żyje na szczawiu zwyczajnym — Rumex acetosa L. zwłaszcza na łąkach wilgotnych. Larwa żeruje w rdzeniu łodygi nie wytwarzając wyrośli.
