Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Obszar rozsiedlenia tego gatunku pokrywa się z europejskim zasięgiem jodły. W Polsce jodłowiec Woroncowa jest znany głównie z południowej części kraju, ponadto notowany z nadleśnictwa Łuków na Podlasiu. Głównym żywicielem jest jodła, rzadziej spotykany na świerku i modrzewiu przy jednoczesnej obecności jodły w drzewostanie. Opada górną część strzały i gałęzie. Chodniki macierzyste przebiegają poprzecznie w stosunku do włókien. Żerowisko typu gwiaździstego wyraźnie odbija się w bielu. Larwy przed przeobrażeniem wgryzają się głęboko w drewno.
