Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1979:

Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od północnej Afryki przez południową Europę aż do Francji i środkowej Europy, poza tym notowany z Wysp Kanaryjskich, Kaukazu i półwyspu Synaj. W Polsce jest chrząszczem rzadko spotykanym, łowionym tylko na kilku stanowiskach w południowej części kraju. Występuje na kamienistych pobrzeżach rzek i potoków górskich i podgórskich.
