Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1993:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony głównie w obszarach górzystych środkowej i południowo-wschodniej części Europy, na północ docierający do Harcu, Westfalii i południowej Brandenburgii, wykazywany też z Włoch. W Polsce notowany z południowej i środkowej części kraju. Występuje głównie w górskich lasach świerkowych, na niżu w lasach sosnowych. Bionomia poznana fragmentarycznie. Postacie dojrzałe ukazują się w maju i przeżywają do sierpnia. Żerują na igłach świerka pospolitego — Picea excelsa (Lam.) Lk. i sosny zwyczajnej — Pinus silvestris L., rzadko modrzewi — Larix Mill. Młode imagines spotykano od połowy maja do połowy czerwca.
