Taxon description
Gatunek zasiedlający głównie środkową Europę, znany również z północnej Europy z nielicznych stanowisk w Anglii, Danii, południowych częściach Norwegii i Szwecji, na południe sięgający do Włoch, Chorwacji i Siedmiogrodu. W Polsce rzadko spotykany, wykazany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk. Występuje w butwiejących i dziuplastych drzewach, często w sąsiedztwie gniazd mrówek Formica rufa L. i Lasius brunneus (Latr.).
