Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Bardzo szeroko rozpowszechniony gatunek w prawie całej Europie (prócz skrajnych części północnych), na wschód sięgający do środkowej Azji i Azji Mniejszej, poza tym wykazywany z północnej Afryki, Australii, Nowej Kaledonii, Polinezji i Nowej Zelandii. Żyje głównie w drobnych zbiornikach wodnych zarówno na terenach otwartych jak i leśnych.
