Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w środkowej części Europy, na południe docierający do Pirenejów, Włoch i Siedmiogrodu, notowany także z Anglii i Kaukazu. W Polsce chrząszcz bardzo rzadki, znany tylko z dwu stanowisk. Występuje przeważnie w podgórskich lasach bukowych pod opadłym, przegrzybiałym listowiem, w grzybach, również w napływkach nad rzekami i strumieniami.
