Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1993:
Gatunek zamieszkujący niemal całą Europę (z wyjątkiem północnej części Fennoskandii), na wschód docierający przez Syberię do Kraju Nadmorskiego; notowany ponadto z Kaukazu i Algierii. W Polsce rozmieszczony prawdopodobnie w całym kraju, ale nie jest notowany z niektórych krain. Dane o występowaniu na Śląsku Dolnym, Wyżynie Krakowsko-Wieluńskiej i w Sudetach Wschodnich opierają się na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia, dlatego wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Zasiedla lasy iglaste i mieszane. Rozwój larwalny odbywa w drewnie martwych pni, gałęzi i pniaków tylko drzew iglastych, w naszym kraju: sosny zwyczajnej — Pinus silvestris L., sosny czarnej — P. nigra Arnold, jodły pospolitej — Abies alba Mill. i świerka pospolitego — Picea excelsa (Lam.) Lk.
