Taxon description
Podgatunek znany z południowej i środkowej Europy, Kaukazu, Krymu, Syrii i środkowej Azji. Podgatunek nominatywny jest formą charakterystyczną dla północnej Afryki i nie występuje poza jej granicami. W Polsce znany z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk, prawdopodobnie u nas osiąga północną granicę swego zasięgu. Spotykany pod padliną różnych zwierząt.
