Taxon description
Gatunek szeroko rozpowszechniony w prawie całej Europie, sięgający w Fennoskandii daleko poza koło podbiegunowe, a na wschód do zachodniej Syberii i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce, choć nie notowany jeszcze ze wszystkich krain, zdaje się być u nas najpospolitszym gatunkiem omawianej rodziny. Występuje najczęściej na grzybach nadrzewnych, pod odstającą, zapleśniałą korą, na starych, wilgotnych, przegrzybiałych pniach i pieńkach, rzadziej przy wyciekającym soku z drzew liściastych oraz pod opadłym, butwiejącym listowiem.
