Taxon description
Gatunek notowany z południowej i środkowej części Europy, o słabo poznanym rozsiedleniu, gdyż do niedawna nie był odróżniany od podobnego Sepedophilus pedicularius (Grav.). Z Europy Środkowej wykazany z Niemiec, Polski, Czech, Moraw, Słowacji i Austrii. W Polsce stwierdzony na podstawie pojedynczych okazów z trzech stanowisk. Biologia i wymagania ekologiczne nie są poznane.
