Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony prawie w całej Europie (prócz skrajnych, obszarów północnych i południowych), na wschód docierający do Syberii Zachodniej. W Polsce chrząszcz pospolity, występujący od Pobrzeża Bałtyku aż po Tatry, nie znany jeszcze z Gór Świętokrzyskich, Kotliny Nowotarskiej i Bieszczadów. Poławiany od czerwca do sierpnia w detrytusie, przyziemnej warstwie roślin i pod kamieniami. Odbywa loty o zmierzchu i przylatuje do światła.
