Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1983:

Gatunek boreałno-alpejski, rozsiedlony aż do najdalszych krańców w Europie północnej oraz w górach Europy środkowej, gdzie jest jednak nadzwyczaj rzadko spotykany. W Polsce pewne stanowiska są na obszarze górzystym w południowej części kraju. Omyłkowo wykazany z Dąbrówna na Pojezierzu Mazurskim (Lentz 1879) na podstawie błędnego oznaczenia Porcinolus murinus (Fabr.) (Czwalina, 1885). O występowaniu w Prusach wątpi A. Horion (1955). Inne dane z Wybrzeża Bałtyku opierają się głównie na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło stu lat i dlatego wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Bionomia słabo poznana; poławiany wśród mchów i kępek trawy.
