Taxon description
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek od Wysp Brytyjskich i skrajnych prowincji północnych Fennoskandii przez całą Europę środkową aż do Hiszpanii północnej, Włoch środkowych i Jugosławii, notowany również z Algierii. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na obszarze całego kraju, brak jednak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych z niektórych krain. Występuje głównie w górach, gdzie sięga do strefy alpejskiej. Spotykany przeważnie na miejscach wilgotnych pod mchem, kamieniami, w detrytusie i napływkach.
