Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1980:

Gatunek rozmieszczony w południowej, zachodniej i środkowej Europie, notowany nadto z Kaukazu. W Polsce dość rzadko i sporadycznie poławiany, przy tym dane o rozmieszczeniu w wielu krainach oparte są na znaleziskach sprzed około stu laty i dlatego wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Występuje na terenach nizinnych i górzystych. Spotykany głównie na jesieni, rzadziej w lecie, pod padliną i ekskrementami, w pryzmach kompostowych, gnijących grzybach i hubach oraz przy wyciekającym soku ze świeżo ściętych drzew.
