Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1980:

Gatunek palearktyczny, rozmieszczony w prawie całej Europie, na północ docierający do około 66° szer. geogr. W Polsce pospolity zwłaszcza w północnej części kraju. Zamieszkuje obszary nizinne i górzyste, gdzie dociera do górnej granicy lasu. Występuje głównie na wilgotnych terenach otwartych. Poławiany na polach i łąkach pod kamieniami, gnijącą roślinnością oraz w dołach po wybranym piasku i żwirze, w lasach wśród mchów i pod opadłym listowiem.
