Taxon description
Wysokogórski gatunek wschodni o karpacki, wymaga nowszych badań w naszych Karpatach w celu współczesnego stwierdzenia jego występowania w Polsce. Dane z piśmiennictwa są mylące, gdyż wzmianki H. lgockiego i Sz. Tenenbauma o występowaniu na Wyżynie Krakowsko-Wieluńskiej były oparte na błędnym oznaczeniu Trechus pilisensis Csiki (J. Pawłowski*) i zostały bezkrytycznie powtórzone przez innych autorów. Z Galicji wykazany na podstawie danych odnoszących się do Czarnohory (Ukraińska SRR). Natomiast zbiór Wróblewskiego, przechowywany w Zakładzie Zoologii Systematycznej i Doświadczalnej PAN w Krakowie, zawiera serię okazów Trechus plicatulus Miller zaopatrzonych etykietkami «Tatry» bez bliższych danych (J. Pawłowski*). Gatunek w Karpatach Wschodnich spotykany głównie w strefie kosodrzewiny w pobliżu płatów tającego śniegu, znajdowany był również pod głęboko osadzonymi kamieniami.
