Taxon description
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem obszary leśne w Europie, notowany poza tym z Syberii i Azji Środkowej. W Fennoskandii dociera do najdalszych krańców północnych, a w Europie Południowej występuje głównie w okolicach górzystych. W Polsce należy do wielkich rzadkości. Jest znany tylko z sześciu krain, przy czym z Sudetów był wykazywany na podstawie materiałów sprzed przeszło stu lat. Zasiedla przegrzybiałe drewno i huby rosnące na starych bukach, klonach i brzozach.
