Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Gatunek motyla występujący w środowiskach leśnych. Czas lotu od końca VI do połowy IX. Młode gąsienice bardzo zróżnicowane w ubarwieniu: od zielonych i szarych do szarobrązowych. Po ostatnim linieniu szarobrązowe. Żerują od jesieni i po przezimowaniu wiosną na roślinach zielnych i krzewach. Przepoczwarczają się płytko w ziemi lub na ziemi w słabych oprzędach.
