Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący zachodnią część Palearktyki; w Europie rozmieszczony od Portugalii, środkowych Włoch i Bułgarii aż do 70° szer. geogr. północnej. W Polsce prawdopodobnie wszędzie prócz wysokich gór, najpospolitszy z gatunków podrodzaju Celia Zimm. Zasiedla nasłonecznione, suchsze gleby piaszczyste lub gleby zawierające dużą domieszkę piasku, najczęściej znajdowany na polach uprawnych.
