Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Gatunek do niedawna bardzo pospolity i uważany za szkodnika upraw agrestu i porzeczek, obecnie spotykany pojedynczo w ogrodach, sadach, brzegach rzek i lasów i parkach. Lata od VI do VIII. Gąsienice, zimujące gromadnie w oprzędach, żerują na krzewach takich jak porzeczka, agrest, tarnina oraz na drzewach, jak czeremcha, trzmielina, leszczyna, wierzba. Na wiosnę dorosłe gąsienice rozpraszają się i do chwili przepoczwarczenia się w VI prowadzą samotny tryb życia. Poczwarki zawieszone są w luźnych oprzędach między liśćmi nad ziemią.
