Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek pospolity, szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w prawie całej Europie (w Szwecji dociera poza koło podbiegunowe), na południe sięga do północnej Afryki, Wysp Kanaryjskich, Madery, Wysp Zielonego Przylądka, Senegalu, a na wschód do środkowej Azji. W Polsce dość pospolity na terenach nizinnych i pagórkowatych. Znajdowany, nieraz gromadnie, w nawozie, w pryzmach kompostowych, w inspektach, pod gnijącymi roślinami w żyznej ziemi ogrodowej.
