Szeroko rozmieszczony w Europie.
Gatunek jednodomny i holocykliczny. Monofag na glistniku — Chelidonium maius L. Żeruje na spodniej stronie liści, wyjątkowo na młodych pędach. Notowany jako wektor chorób wirusowych.
