Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek borealno-górski rozsiedlony w środkowej i północnej Europie, w Fennoskandii sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe, a na południe do północnych Włoch, Siedmiogrodu i Bułgarii. W Polsce znany tylko z Sudetów i Beskidów, przy tym co najmniej od 50, a nawet 100 lat w Beskidach Zachodnich powtórnie nie stwierdzony. Spotykany na hubach porastających pnie buków.
