Rozmieszczenie ogólne i biologia tego gatunku nie są poznane. Chrząszcz mało znany, aczkolwiek opisany przed kilkudziesięciu laty z dwu stanowisk we Francji oraz z Frankfurtu nad Odrą. Wobec bliskości tej miejscowości od naszej granicy istnieje możliwość odszukania go również u nas po prawej stronie Odry. We Francji był znaleziony na dębie omszonym — Quercus pubescens Willd. i na Pinus pinaster Soland. Ponieważ w Polsce dąb omszony dziko rośnie tylko w Bielinku nad Odrą, tam należy poszukiwać tego chrząszcza.
