Taxon description
Gatunek rozsiedlony głównie w basenie Morza Śródziemnego, na północ docierający do RFN i Polski. U nas niedawno odkryty w trzech krainach zachodnich. Żeruje na wierzbownicy kosmatej — Epilobium hirsutum L. Okres obfitego pojawu postaci dojrzałych przypada na maj, drugi okres dużej liczebności w drugiej połowie sierpnia.
