Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w Europie południowo-wschodniej i w południowo-wschodniej części Europy Środkowej. Ranga taksonomiczna omawianego gatunku i jej stosunek do A. flavipennis Brullé nie jest jeszcze ostatecznie wyjaśniona. Według Machatschke, 1972 (Coleopt Cat. Suppl., pars 66, fasc. 1) omawiany takson należy traktować jako podgatunek A. flavipennis Brullé. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, notowany tylko z dwu stanowisk na południu kraju. Występuje na terenach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich. Larwy żyją w glebie, postacie dorosłe poławiano od maja do lipca na trawach i zbożach. Zaliczany do szkodników upraw zbożowych.
