Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1979:

Pospolity, szeroko rozpowszechniony gatunek w całej Palearktyce, notowany również ze wschodnich Indii, Archipelagu Malajskiego i Ameryki Północnej, w Europie od krajów śródziemnomorskich aż po skrajne prowincje północne Fennoskandii. Zasiedla zarówno obszary nizinne jak i górskie, docierając do strefy alpejskiej. Żyje na glebach wilgotnych, na bagnistych łąkach, pobrzeżach wód pod gnijącymi szczątkami roślinnymi, w grzybach, pod ekskrementami i padliną.
