Taxon description
Klimaszewski 1967:
Znany jest dotąd jedynie z Europy. Żyje na wrzosie — Calluna vulgaris (L.) Salisb. — a na Pobrzeżu Bałtyku także i na borówce bagiennej — Vaccinium uliginosum L. Zwykle zimują larwy ostatniego stadium.
