Taxon description
Europa, Azja Środkowa, Zakaukazie, Bliski Wschód.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żyje na jeżynach — Rubus saxatilis L., Rubus suberectus Anders., Rubus fissus Ldl. Wiosną zwija liście wierzchołkowe w zbite gniazda, później żeruje na spodniej stronie liści i na młodych pędach nie powodując ich deformacji. Notowany jako wektor chorób wirusowych.
