Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek zasiedlający Europę aż do najdalszych krańców północnych, w południowej części kontynentu występujący na terenach górzystych, poza tym podawany z Kaukazu, Syberii i Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce notowany tylko z pojedynczych stanowisk w południowej części kraju. Poławiany od czerwca do sierpnia na terenach leśnych w ekskrementach dzikich zwierząt.
