Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w całej Europie południowej i środkowej i lokalnie w południowych częściach Anglii i Skandynawii, notowany ponadto z Maroka, Kaukazu, Azji Mniejszej i Zakaukazia. W Polsce na ogół rzadko i sporadycznie spotkany, notowany z terenów nizinnych i pagórkowatych. Występuje od maja do lipca w ekskrementach krów, koni, owiec, królików i dzikich zwierząt.
