Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem głównie wyższe pasma górskie w środkowej części Europy, w Alpach docierający do wysokości około 2500 m n.p.m. W Polsce notowany wielokrotnie na podstawie znalezisk pochodzących tylko z Sudetów sprzed przeszło stu lat, niedawno (Stebnicka 1976, 1976b) wykazany z innych naszych gór. W Tatrach dociera do strefy kosodrzewiny. Poławiany od czerwca do sierpnia w ekskrementach owiec i kóz, rzadziej bydła, a także w pobliżu nor świstaków.
