Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek występujący prawie w całej Europie (prócz skrajnych prowincji północnych Fennoskandii), poza tym znany z nielicznych stanowisk w Algierii, na Kaukazie, w Azji Mniejszej, Syberii i Tybecie, importowany do Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, nie jest notowany jednak jeszcze ze wszystkich krain. Zasiedla zarówno tereny nizinne, jak i górzyste, gdzie dociera do strefy subalpejskiej. Występuje od wiosny do jesieni, na niżu głównie w świeżych krowieńcach, w górach w odchodach kóz i owiec.
