Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek pontyjsko-medyterraneński, występujący w Europie Środkowej na terenach kserotermicznych. Rozmieszczenie nie jest dokładnie zbadane, ponieważ mylony jest z innymi pokrewnymi gatunkami. W Polsce bardzo rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk. Z. Stebnicka (1976) podaje, że omawiany gatunek znany jest między innymi z okolic Pińczowa i Przemyśla. Wiadomości te oparte są na materiałach dotąd niepublikowanych. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie. Występuje wiosną na ciepłych, suchych, stanowiskach, głównie w ekskrementach końskich. Obserwowano przyloty do światła.
