Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek występujący głównie w południowej części Europy, skąd wzdłuż górskich obszarów wapiennych wkracza do zachodniej i południowej części Europy Środkowej, gdzie występuje lokalnie, przeważnie na stanowiskach o charakterze stepowym. W Polsce notowany jedynie z trzech stanowisk; wzmianka Z. Stebnickiej (1976) o wykazaniu go z okolic Lublina opiera się prawdopodobnie na ogólnikowym doniesieniu. F. Hildta (1896) o występowaniu omawianego gatunku w «guberni lubelskiej». Bionomia słabo poznana; według danych z piśmiennictwa łowiony sporadycznie od czerwca do września na pastwiskach w ekskrementach bydła.
