Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony prawie w całej Europie z wyjątkiem jej skrajnych części północnych i południowych, ponadto podawany z Kaukazu, Zakaukazia i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na piaszczystych terenach leśnych całego kraju, brak jednak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych z wielu krain. Poławiany od marca do późnej jesieni w ekskrementach różnych zwierząt, również w nawozie stajennym, wywożonym na pola w pobliże lasu.
