Prószyński et Staręga 1971:

Gatunek europejski uważany za górski, stanowiska na niżu zdają się podważać nieco tę opinię. Żyje w lasach świerkowych i jodłowych oraz w strefie kosodrzewiny na gałęziach drzew. W Tatrach łowiony do 2200 m n.p.m.
