Taxon description
Opisany z Danii, wykazywany z Anglii, Fennoskandii, gdzie sięga daleko poza koło podbiegunowe, z Karelii, Litwy, krajów Beneluksu, Niemiec, Austrii i Czech. W Polsce notowany z jednego stanowiska na podstawie samca i samicy, złowionych w budce lęgowej w gnieździe sikory — Parus L. Występuje w lasach, parkach, w sąsiedztwie siedlisk ludzkich; spotykany w gniazdach dużych i małych ptaków oraz w gnieździe wiewiórki — Sciurus vulgaris L.
