Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek opisany z Norwegii, Szwecji i wschodniej Karelii; do niedawna nie odróżniany od pospolitego Atheta (Atheta) crassicornis (Fabr.), notowany z Anglii, krajów Beneluksu, Niemiec, Białorusi, Czech, Słowacji i Austrii. Z Polski wykazany z czterech krain. Występuje na obszarach leśnych, w Puszczy Człuchowskiej stwierdzony w sosnowym borze świeżym — Leucobryo-Pinetum; poławiany zwykle w detrytusie oraz w owocnikach grzybów, zwłaszcza muchomorów — Amanita Pers.
