Gatunek mało znany, stosunkowo niedawno opisany z Niemiec, Austrii i Czech. Z Polski notowany ogólnikowo. Z uwagi na brak konkretnych danych nie zaliczamy omawianego gatunku do chrząszczy krajowych. Bionomia nie jest znana. Autor opisu podaje, że jest to chrząszcz leśny, związany z przegrzybiałym, rozkładającym się drewnem. Okazy łowiono w Bawarii podczas lotu w lesie mieszanym, bukowo-sosnowym z domieszką brzozy i wierzby.
