Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Rozmieszczony od południowych części Anglii i Szwecji przez całą Europę środkową aż do krajów śródziemnomorskich. W Polsce wykazywany z nielicznych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju, przy czym wiele danych o rozmieszczeniu w poszczególnych krainach oparta jest na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło stu lat, dlatego też wymagają one potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i pagórkowate. Bionomia jest słabo poznana; postacie dojrzałe poławiano w maju-sierpniu na nisko rosnącej roślinności, zwłaszcza w świetlistych dąbrowach. Rozwój larwalny odbywa prawdopodobnie pod korą drzew, gdyż w Słowacji J. Roubal (1936) stwierdził świeżo wylęgnięte imagines w końcu maja pod korą dębu.
