Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek rozmieszczony od Wysp Brytyjskich i południowej Skandynawii przez środkową Europę aż do Pirenejów, środkowych Włoch, Siedmiogrodu i północnego Bałkanu. W Polsce, choć nie znany jeszcze ze wszystkich krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze z wyjątkiem wysokich, gór. Spotykany głównie w gniazdach mrówek z rodzaju Lasius Fabr. i Formica L., również w ich sąsiedztwie pod korą i w zmurszałych drzewach.
