Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w zachodniej, południowej i środkowej Europie, notowany również z jednej południowej prowincji Finlandii, z Kaukazu i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, znany tylko z siedmiu krain. Według W. Kolbego (1921) omyłkowo wykazany z okolicy Legnicy (Gerhardt 1887, 1910) na podstawie błędnie oznaczonych okazów Bledius crassicollis Boisd. et Lacord. Występuje głównie na terenach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich. Znajdowany na wilgotnych naciekach ilastych pokrywających skarpy głównie dołów po wybranej glinie lub piasku.
