Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1980:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w prawie całej Europie prócz jej krańców północnych, w zachodniej i południowej części kontynentu częściej spotykany. Notowany poza tym z Kaukazu i Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk. Występuje zarówno na obszarach nizinnych, jak i górzystych, docierając do strefy subalpejskiej. Znajdowany na terenach otwartych i zadrzewionych pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, w zmurszałym drewnie pni i pniaków, wśród mchów i pod kamieniami.
