Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich, Francji i Belgii przez całą środkową część Europy aż do Włoch i Grecji. Najdalej na wschód wysunięte, znane stanowiska to Moskwa, Mohylew i Kijów. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, ale nie znany jest jeszcze z wielu krain. Zamieszkuje tereny nizinne i górzyste, gdzie sięga do strefy subalpejskiej. Spotykany w ciągu całego roku, przeważnie w hubach na zmurszałych drzewach liściastych, rzadziej na świerkach i sosnach, pod obluźnioną korą, opadłymi, pleśniejącymi liśćmi oraz wiązkami chrustu.
