Szelegiewicz 1968:

Południowa i środkowa Europa. Większość danych ze wschodniej Europy, Kaukazu i Syberii odnosi się do innego gatunku.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje na młodych pędach i na kwiatach tojadów — Aconitum callibotryon Rchb. i Aconitum variegatum L.
