Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Podgatunek nominatywny rozprzestrzeniony głównie w środkowej i częściowo w południowej Europie, nadto notowany z Danii i Wysp Brytyjskich. Dwa inne podgatunki wykazywane były ze Skandynawii, jeden z nich również z Syberii. Polskę zamieszkuje forma nominatywna. Zasiedla wody. bieżące w strefie przybrzeżnej, gdzie larwy żerują na glonach.
