Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w całej niemal Palearktyce, w Europie pospolity, docierający do koła podbiegunowego. W Polsce rozprzestrzeniony na całym obszarze. Żyje na kwiatach różnych roślin różowatych (Rosaceae), zwłaszcza malin i jeżyn. Z powodu wyżerania kwiatów na drzewach owocowych oraz żerowania larw w kwiatach i owocach malin omawiany gatunek jest uważany za poważnego szkodnika w sadownictwie.
