Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1974:
Pospolity gatunek palearktyczny, rozpowszechniony w całej Europie aż do najdalszych jej krańców, znany poza tym z północnej Afryki, Azorów, Kaukazu, Azji Mniejszej, Syberii i północnej części Mongolii. W Polsce występuje wszędzie, w zbiorach krajowych znajdują się okazy ze wszystkich krain prócz Wzgórz Trzebnickich. Żyje zarówno na otwartych jak i leśnych obszarach, zasiedla gleby różnych typów, byleby nie nadto wilgotne, przekłada jednak nad inne gleby piaszczyste lub z domieszką żwiru, wykazywany często z pól uprawnych.
